Job summary

Jefferson County, Colorado is seeking a Part-Time Operational Specialist for Lookout Mountain Venues (Boettcher Mansion and Lookout Mountain Nature Center). The role supports events, meetings, and housekeeping, with flexible scheduling tied to event calendars and setup/breakdown.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience in an administrative or customer-facing role.
• Prior experience in high volume events/venues, custodial work, customer service, or hospitality.
• Additional education or certification beyond high school.
• The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, with a go-getter, can-do attitude.
• Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs constantly and 50-100 lbs occasionally.
• A flexible schedule that can adjust week to week for pre and post-event needs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding time management skills.
• Customer service/interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility activities, such as cleaning and sanitizing duties to include kitchens, restrooms, event spaces and exhibit hall.
• Follow plans for building and event operations, including furniture set-up and breakdown.
• Respond to urgent situations by determining necessary plan of action.
• Determine supplies needed & utilizing available resources.
• Keep exterior free of debris and water outdoor plants.
• Snow removal from venues as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
