Job summary

Los Angeles Convention Center is seeking a Part-time Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on pneumatic and hydraulic systems and diesel, gas and propane equipment used for power generation and event operations.

This onsite role requires a hands-on technician able to support generators, pumps, compressors and air handling units, with a focus on safety and reliability during events in downtown Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing pneumatic/hydraulic systems and fuel-operated equipment.
• Ability to work with diesel, gas and propane powered machinery.
• Proactive problem-solving and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs of assorted equipment used for power generation, hauling, lifting and moving in a live venue.
• Assist engineers with repairs to generators, pumps, compressors and air handling units.
• Work safely around guests and events, following posted rules and procedures.
