Part Time Utility Cleaner - Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling

Utility Cleaners will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in communal spaces, restrooms, workspaces, and outside areas as assigned. Duties include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, polishing surfaces and floors, removing trash, restocking supplies, and cleaning restrooms.

* Regular shift and swing shift available

Salary: $30.57/hr plus pension contribution!

Key Responsibilities

• Mop tile and concrete floors; vacuum carpeted areas
• Sweep, dust, scrub, wax, buff, and strip floors as needed
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including urinals, toilets, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, hand dryers, floors, walls, showers, and locker rooms
• Clean and disinfect breakroom and kitchen tables, sinks, counters, and refrigerator
• Empty waste baskets and garbage cans; dispose of waste properly
• Dust furniture, equipment, blinds, and light fixtures
• Clean mirrors and interior windows and surrounding areas
• Maintain cleanliness of entrances and exits, including washing glass and removing debris outside
• Clean and disinfect drinking fountains
• Report damages, vandalism, and perform minor repairs as needed
• Operate cleaning equipment such as electric buffers and commercial vacuums
• Refill and restock soap, paper towels, and toilet paper dispensers
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions
• Store cleaning supplies safely and ensure adequate stock
• Move and arrange furniture as required
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
• Understanding of the Hazardous Materials Information System
• Ability to read and follow instructions and labels

• High School diploma or equivalent
• TS/SCI clearance required
• At least 1 year of custodial experience in the last three years, including floor care (stripping, waxing, buffing)
• Valid Driver's License
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Dependable attendance
• U.S. citizenship required for access to military installations
