Job summary

Accordus is seeking an Accounting Lead as a part-time contractor to support our nonprofit and for-profit clients. The role requires 10–15 hours per week, daytime availability for client calls, and US-based work to liaise with our international team.

The candidate will join 2-4 client calls weekly, help manage an international accounting team, and oversee the use of QuickBooks Online and other financial software. Strong attention to detail and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

JOB TITLE: Accounting Lead

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

SCOPE OF POSITION: An Accounting Lead is a part-time contractor role within the Accordus team. This team member fills critical accounting functions for Accordus clients, including both for-profit and non-profit accounting services. This role will be between 10-15 hours per week. This team member must have day-time availability to jump on accounting calls with clients. They should be US-based and work as the liaison between our US-based clients and our international team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Joining 2-4 client calls per week
• Helping manage a team of international accountants
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
• Working with QuickBooks Online (prior experience required)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of financial (accounting, bookkeeping, etc.) experience
• Experience with non-profit accounting preferred
• Bachelors (or equivalent in accounting or related field)
