Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience preferred.
• 6 months experience working within a physician’s office desired. Urology experience desired.
• Certification or Registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and clinical duties under supervision.
• Coordinate and schedule appointments with physicians, nursing, and staff.
• Greet patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Measure and record vital signs; take patient history and chief complaints.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic lab tests; conduct EKGs and assist with X-ray/therapy procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications with physician authorization; change dressings and assist with first aid.
• Maintain accurate, legal documentation and patient records; ensure HIPAA compliance.
