Job summary

NextCare is seeking a Part‑Time clinician to join our urgent care team in Derby, KS. This role offers four 12-hour shifts per month, with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM across seven days a week.

Qualifications

• KS license for NP/PA active and unrestricted.
• Board certification or eligibility; PA NCCPA, NP ANCC or AANP (FNP).
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• BLS certification.
• EHR proficiency.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly.
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR.
• Code and bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare standards and values.
