Job summary

NextCare in Derby, KS is seeking a Full-Time clinician to join our urgent care team. This role offers variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact in a fast-paced, well-supported setting.

You will work three 12-hour shifts per week with clinic hours 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week. The compensation is $60–$80 per hour, with bonus opportunities and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• KS license for NP or PA required.
• Board certification or eligibility required.
• NCCPA (PA) or ANCC/AANP (NP) certification required (FNP preferred).
• Active DEA license required or ability to obtain.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• Active BLS certification.
• Proficient in EHR documentation.
• Occasional weekends and holidays required.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in urgent care.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound care as applicable.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
• Code and bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare standards and values.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted KS license for NP | PA
• Board certification or eligibility, as applicable
• PA: NCCPA certification
• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast‑track experience
• Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
• Experience with initial x‑ray interpretation prior to radiology over‑read
