Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public agencies when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, documenting incidents, unusual conditions, and policy violations in clear written reports.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, answering questions, and helping to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and disruptive behavior.
