Job summary

Allied Universal in Durham, NC is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed) to protect client sites and support a welcoming, safe environment.

You will provide courteous customer service, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and maintain logs and reports per site procedures. The role emphasizes professionalism, collaboration, and community impact.

Schedule: Fri 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM; Sat 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Pay: $20.09 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and security-related procedures at a technology infrastructure site.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs/reports of patrols and incidents.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders following post orders.
