Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Kernersville, NC to safeguard government facilities and other sites. You will provide visible presence, deter incidents, respond professionally, and deliver outstanding customer service while welcoming visitors and staff.

As a part-time, unarmed patrol officer, you will build a flexible schedule, use our Claim a Shift platform, and join a team that values integrity, reliability, and people-first service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing individuals to appropriate offices, entrances, and services.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.
