Job summary

Allied Universal, Durham, NC, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol to protect facilities and people at a manufacturing and industrial site. You will conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role offers a flexible schedule with weekend shifts and the chance to use our Claim a Shift platform to pick additional hours. You will provide excellent customer service and maintain a visible, reassuring presence.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, office spaces, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned property to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
