Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Welfare Checks in Whittier, CA to protect clients and maintain a welcoming environment. This part-time role offers a pay rate of $21.31 per hour and a daytime schedule, with patrols and customer service duties across various sites.

You will respond to incidents, conduct routine patrols, assist with access control, and document observations while upholding safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Lift up to 20 pounds.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors at a memorial park by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout cemetery grounds, mausoleums, offices, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, traffic flow, and special events or services in accordance with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
