Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for welfare checks in a healthcare setting. You will monitor designated areas, provide exceptional customer service, and deter incidents with a visible presence.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule (Fridays and Saturdays 6:00 AM–10:00 AM) and opportunities for growth through training and tools to claim additional shifts.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related work experience is required.
• At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
• Experience with alarm panels and comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following established protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and help maintain an orderly environment for patients and visitors.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
