Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors per site procedures and emergency protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow established procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and assist with directions and wayfinding.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and help maintain an orderly environment for patients and visitors.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of experience in security-related work is required.
• At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
