Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Patrol for a healthcare location in Jacksonville, FL. You will perform routine armed patrols, maintain a strong visible presence, and respond to security concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, reporting incidents, and delivering quality customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. A guard card, background check, and 21+ age are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for patients, visitors, contractors, and/or staff in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and potential hazards to Allied Universal leadership and appropriate site personnel.
