Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Wakefield, RI. This flexible role provides reliable hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up additional shifts to grow toward a full‑time career with the industry leader.

Pay rate is $21.22 per hour with Day Time shifts. The position emphasizes customer service, safety procedures, and proactive patrols to deter incidents and protect patients, visitors, staff, and vendors within hospital environments.

Qualifications

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, directions, and monitoring of authorized entry points in accordance with location-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and hospital personnel.
