Job summary

Allied Universal in Sterling, VA is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Assessment Security Officer. You will provide front-line security at a technology-focused site, maintain a strong presence, and deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include regular patrols, access control, and incident reporting. The role requires 1+ year security experience; CPR/First Aid preferred, and a valid guard card is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and perimeter to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and document visitor activity and incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, task-oriented manner and assist with responses.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, emergency responders, and leadership about security concerns.
