Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Compliance in SAN JOSE, CA. This flexible, part‑time position offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts, helping you earn more while gaining experience at a leading security services company.

Pay rate is $22.00 per hour. Requirements include at least 6 months of security experience, a license if applicable, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of security‑related experience.
Guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to museum visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, public spaces, entrances, administrative areas, and the building perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, or facility concerns.
Monitor visitor flow and observe museum spaces to help protect artwork, exhibits, and property while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
Document patrols, incidents, and security‑related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
