Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for a part-time unarmed role in Blythewood, SC. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide customer-focused service in a manufacturing and industrial setting, while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

As a part-time position, you can build a flexible schedule with our shift-claim platform. The role requires at least 2 years of security experience, a high school diploma, and a commitment to safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner per site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.
