Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Blythewood, SC. You will monitor a retail location, patrol assigned areas, manage access points, and assist customers and staff with professionalism, using technology to document activity.

The role offers flexible day/evening shifts with the chance to grow within a leading security and facilities services company. Prior security and customer service experience is preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Assist with loss prevention observations and maintain a welcoming environment for customers and associates.
