Job summary

Allied Universal’s Durham location seeks a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Alarm Response) to protect clients and property while delivering professional customer service in a tech-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security experience or more.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, alarms, cameras, and other security systems; report irregularities and follow site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff information.
