Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Patrol Driver in Springfield, IL. You will provide security, assist patients and staff, and detain or deter unauthorized activity through visible patrols and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, responding to emergencies, and documenting events for site leadership. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience with restraints or defensive equipment encouraged.
• Must be 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed) with clean background.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions and supporting facility access procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site personnel.
