Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL seeks a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Alarm Investigation) to protect patients, visitors, and staff at a healthcare location. You will provide courteous customer service, maintain a visible security presence, and respond to alarms following site procedures.

This role offers flexible daytime and weekend shifts, training opportunities, and access to our shift-claim platform to adjust your schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• State, county or city security license preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by laws.
• Allied Universal will consider applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, maintaining logs and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts or emergency responders as required.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrols in clear, timely reports while maintaining awareness of healthcare operations and restricted areas.
