Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Driver Patrol Coverage) in Newark, DE. The role involves patrolling government locations, delivering customer service, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, respond to incidents per established procedures, and document activities for site leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide security-related procedures and customer service to government location personnel and visitors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate information to site leadership.
