Job summary

Allied Universal in Reading, PA is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to safeguard campus facilities and provide courteous service to students, staff, and visitors.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer on a government-focused campus, you will monitor areas, deter incidents, and report security concerns. The role requires strong customer service and basic computer skills, with a daytime shift and a pay rate of $17.55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner following campus protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of campus buildings and grounds to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity and policy violations.
• Prepare clear reports and communicate with campus contacts and leadership.
