Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas is seeking a Part-time UAV Drone Lab Technician for FY 2027. The role provides technical support for scheduled Aviation or Engineering Technologies labs and helps instructors and students operate unmanned drones and related equipment.

The technician will perform routine maintenance, ensure labs are prepared with proper inventories, and assist faculty in planning and preparing experiments.

Qualifications

• Set up, operate and troubleshoot UAVs and related equipment.
• Verify proper equipment operation and perform maintenance.
• Hold Part 107 / FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive the UAS van.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for UAV labs and instructors.
• Assist students with operation of drones and equipment during labs.
• Perform maintenance on lab equipment and keep inventories stocked.
• Help instructors plan and prepare labs with full-time faculty.

Part - Time UAV Drone Lab Technician - FY 2027

Job Description

• Provide technical support for lab operations of scheduled andopen Aviation or Engineering Technologies Labs.
• Support instructors and students with the operation of specialized Engineering and Un-manned Drones and other equipment during labs.
• Technician will perform maintenance on specialized lab equipment.
• Technician will assist to ensure that labs are prepared and have proper inventories for classes.
• Technician will assist the instructor plan an prepare labs in conjunction with full time faculty.

Required qualifications

• Should have the ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot UAVand other Electronic related machines per directions from faculty. Should also be proficient with all systems and the tools related to the ET industry
• Experience verifying proper equipment operation and performing equipment maintenance
• Part 107 / FAA Remote Pilot Certificates
• Complete required training to drive/operate UAS Van and associated equipment. ( Valid Driver's License)

Preferred qualifications

• Degree, or pursuance thereof, in Engineering Technology. ORAviation Technology

Salary Information

$15.00 Hourly
