Job summary

Central Oregon Community College invites applications for Miscellaneous Tutor across various campuses. This part-time, temporary hourly, non-benefited position supports student success with personalized, self-paced learning.

Tutors provide in-person help in a range of subjects, work with instructors to align with curricula, and must have a high school diploma and a minimum B+ in tutor subjects; training provided within the first year. Bilingual fluency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Grade of B+ or better in tutor courses.
• Complete a minimum of 10 hours of College Reading & Learning Association Tutor Training within the first year of employment (paid time).
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person tutoring and set tutoring goals with students for individual sessions.
• Tutor students in a variety of subjects not covered by other postings; support instructional programs.
• Consult with instructors to become familiar with the curriculum to be supported.
• Perform other essential functions as assigned to support the program objectives.
