Job summary

Northampton Community College is seeking tutors for the Learning Center in Bethlehem or online. Tutors will assist students in math from Pre-Algebra to Calculus and help with C++ programming and MS Office. Training is provided and certification within one year is expected.

Positions are part-time, approximately 10 to 25 hours per week, with responsibilities including meetings, record-keeping, and supporting student success through personalized instruction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in the relevant discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
• A grade of B or above in each course the candidate intends to tutor.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical skills, and a desire to help a diverse student population.
• Tutor experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Tutor math from Pre-Algebra to Calculus I and above.
• Assist students with C++ programming and MS Office.
• Obtain CRLA training and certification within one year of employment.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain complete and accurate records and respond to correspondence from Learning Center staff.
