Sylvan Learning Center in California is seeking enthusiastic, flexible part-time teachers/tutors to work with kids from pre-K through 12th grade in Study Skills, Reading, Math, and SAT/ACT Prep. We value energetic team players who love helping students succeed.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate, or be a college junior/senior studying Math or Education. You must be able to work with children of all ages, multitask across tasks, and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate, or college junior/senior studying Math or Education.
• Ability to work with kids of all ages and multitask across activities.

Responsibilities

• Teach students in Study Skills, Reading, Math, and SAT/ACT Prep.
• No lesson planning, grading, or parent meetings; focus on in-class instruction.
• Commitment for two to four days per week (Mon-Thu afternoons/evenings and Sat mornings).
