Job summary

Sylvan Learning in Glenview, IL seeks a part-time tutor to support students with reading, language arts, and/or math. You will provide personalized instruction, adapt strategies to diverse learners, and track progress with parents and teachers.

The role offers flexible scheduling, a low-stress environment, and support with lesson planning and administrative tasks. Ideal candidates are state-certified teachers with a PEL and clear commitment to student success.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will be a state certified teacher with a PEL (working towards, current, or expired).
• Ability to work 4-12 hours a week between 4-7pm Mon-Thur and/or Saturdays from 10:00am - 2:00pm.
• Proficiency in utilizing learning technology to facilitate instruction and improve student engagement.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with diverse learners.
• A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed academically.
• Higher salary for candidates with the ability to teach upper level math and/or ACT/SAT prep.
