Job summary

The State of Georgia is hiring an Adj. Instructor for the Commercial Truck Driving program. This part-time role involves delivering classroom instruction, developing course outlines, and evaluating student progress in a licensed program.

Required: Georgia CDL Class A, flexible hours, and 1 year of truck driving experience. Preferred: associate degree, more driving experience, and familiarity with FMCSA and USDOT rules.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current State of Georgia Department of Driver Services Class “A” Commercial Driver’s license.
• The ability to work flexible hours is required.
• One (1) year of experience as a commercial truck driver.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, instructs and supervises students in the Commercial Truck Driving Licensing program.
• Develops program and course outlines, goals and objectives.
• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Maintains program documentation and required reports.
