State of Georgia seeks a Commercial Truck Driving License Adjunct Instructor to develop curriculum and deliver instruction for CDL-related courses, payment via APO lump-sum, fee-for-service.

The instructor will prepare lesson plans, create syllabi, teach theory and practical driving, assess student progress, and maintain records using the LMS.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Class A CDL with 3+ years of driving experience; a associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED with a Class A CDL and at least 3 years of truck driving experience.
  • Preferred associate degree or equivalent military/program completion.
  • Ability to develop curriculum and deliver instruction for general education courses.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction.
  • Develops standardized syllabi using college templates.
  • Delivers classroom and online instruction in theory and practical applications.
  • Evaluates student progress against grading requirements.
  • Measures program outcomes with the department head for continuous improvement.
  • Maintains documentation and administrative reports.
  • Completes professional development for course delivery.
  • Uses college LMS for course delivery.
  • Maintains credentialing and certifications required for teaching.
  • Maintains classroom environment and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrates accessibility and communicates clearly with students.
  • Counsels students with grades and attendance issues.
