Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington is seeking a Part-Time Mental Health Specialist to deliver clinical services to students who are survivors of interpersonal violence through CAPS Survivor Counseling Services. The role requires a Master’s degree and Indiana licensure upon hire, and a 10-month appointment with a maximum of 29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in relevant mental health area from an accredited program.
• 4 years of post-degree experience.
• Licensed in Indiana upon date of hire (LCSW/LMH/CFT).

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical treatment of victims and survivors of interpersonal violence.
• Provides crisis drop-in coverage for CAPS to support students in crisis.
• Attends staff and clinical team meetings.
• Conducts individual intake assessments for Survivor Counseling Services.
• Provides direct clinical mental health treatment to individuals and groups.
• Manages caseload weekly or biweekly with new clients.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant clinical notes and charts.
• Consults with psychiatrists, medical providers, and dietitians as needed.
• Collaborates with campus partners to support survivors (e.g., Student Care).
• Utilizes evidence-based clinical interventions and follows ethical standards.
