Job summary

EmberHope Youthville in Wichita, KS is seeking a Children’s Behavioral Interventionist to provide one-on-one trauma-informed support in Therapeutic Family Foster Homes. You’ll use neuro-developmental activities and consistent presence to help youths heal and stay safely with their families.

No prior behavioral experience is required; training is provided, including Trauma-Informed Care, CPR/First Aid, and DEI courses. Flexible part-time hours with after-school evening shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Able to pass a federal background check.
• Complete required CBI training and maintain certifications.
• Competent computer skills and ability to document electronically.
• Able to travel using a personal vehicle, including at night.
• Able to walk up and down stairs.
• Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends.
• Able to work in indoor environments frequently and outdoors occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a stable, trauma-informed, supportive environment within Therapeutic Family Foster Homes.
• Deliver one-on-one neuro-developmental and coping skill activities.
• Support daily living and emotional regulation in alignment with the child’s treatment plan.
• Provide direct supervision, coaching, direction, and approved intervention strategies at all times.
• Maintain strong, open communication with caregivers.
• Ensure caregivers approve shift activities and adhere to routines and structure.
• Document services in the agency’s electronic health record in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of CBI and TFFH standards.
• Follow EmberHope Youthville Policies & Procedures, including handbooks.
