Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division at the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Chicago is seeking a part-time Trauma Counselor (20 hrs). You will deliver trauma-informed counseling to individuals and families, under the Arts & Education Manager.

Responsibilities include maintaining client charts, creating treatment plans, coordinating referrals, and supporting groups and education initiatives in a mission-driven environment. Evening/weekend hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Illinois state certification as a counselor (required).
• IAODAPCA certification must be maintained (required).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of previous experience as a Counselor.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed counseling to clients and families.
• Maintain organized client charts and documentation.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Make referrals to external private/public agencies as appropriate.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in committees.
