Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Minneapolis, MN for a part-time role. You will perform patrols, maintain a visible presence, and support security operations at transportation locations while delivering excellent customer service to travelers and staff.

This position emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and effective communication with site leadership. A valid license and background check are required; CPR is preferred and training opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including terminal-adjacent facilities, employee areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting access-control procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
