Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Minneapolis, MN for a part-time, unarmed driving role at an airport location. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional presence and following site procedures.

The position offers a flexible schedule with weekend shifts; a valid driver’s license is required, plus background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background checks and drug screening will be conducted as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, gates, baggage and cargo areas, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious conditions, unattended items, policy violations, and other security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as appropriate.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related events.
