Job summary

Ringwood Public Schools seeks a part-time Tradesman (General) for the Building/Grounds Department, five hours per day, with an anticipated start around October 1, 2026. The role offers an hourly rate of $25.00 to $29.00, commensurate with experience.

Must hold a valid NJ driver’s license and have relevant trade skills, with preference for a Low Pressure Black Seal License. Responsibilities include estimating material needs, scheduling tasks, and operating power tools to maintain school

Qualifications

• Must possess valid NJ Driver's License.
• Must have a Low Pressure Black Seal License preferred.
• Proficient in two of the listed trades with working knowledge of the remainder.
• Must possess basic computer knowledge to process work orders.
• Ability to operate power tools and/or equipment.
• Ability to estimate materials and establish time requirements and staffing for projects.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting maintenance issues.
• Proficiency in math and understanding of plumbing, electricity, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to meet essential job task requirements.
