Job summary

Train America seeks a part-time instructor to lead bootcamps in HVACR, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance trades. Courses run a few times per year, including Saturdays and weeknights, at training centers.

Instructors are expected to engage students, run simulations, and supervise lab activities. A minimum of 5 years in a relevant trades field, and a valid Journeyman/Master license with EPA 608 credential, are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Facilities/Commercial Maintenance, or Industrial Maintenance.
• Licenses/certifications in your trade in good standing (Journeyman/Master). EPA 608 for refrigerant work.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead a group of students as their instructor.
• Facilitate elearning and simulations to teach theory.
• Supervise hands-on lab activities and practical training.
