Job summary

Train America is seeking part-time instructors in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and maintenance to train the next generation at our Del Valle training center.

As a Guide, you will inspire students, facilitate elearning and simulations, and supervise hands-on lab activities while staying active in your trade.

This role is designed for practitioners still working in the field, offering flexible bootcamp commitments with no long-term contract and no teaching degree required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Facilities/Commercial Maintenance, or Industrial Maintenance.
• License or certification in your trade where Texas requires one (Journeyman/Master), EPA 608 for refrigerant work.
• Professional communication, interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Ability to commute to the Del Valle training center and teach at least 4 bootcamps per year.

Responsibilities

• Inspire a group of students as their instructor.
• Facilitate elearning and simulations for students to learn the theories.
• Facilitate and oversee hands-on activities in the lab.
