Job summary

Train America seeks a part-time instructor to share HVACR and industrial maintenance expertise in Houston, teaching a few courses per year—one Saturday and five weeknights per course—while staying active in the trades and mentoring students.

You bring at least five years in HVAC or related maintenance, a current technician registration where required, EPA 608 certification, and strong communication to guide bootcamps at partner locations.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills and be able to work with diverse learners.
• Experience collaborating with teams in a training or trades environment.
• Ability to mentor and guide students during hands-on labs.

Responsibilities

• Inspire a group of students as their instructor.
• Facilitate e-learning and simulations for students to learn the theories.
