Job summary

Austin Achieve is seeking a Coaching Assignment to support up to 10 teachers across several departments, tailoring the coaching to campus needs and strengths. The role focuses on improving curricular implementation, planning, and instructional quality.

You will work with teachers to implement College Board aligned curricula, develop planning cycles, observe classrooms, and drive professional development aligned with best practices. Strong relationship skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of College Board aligned curriculums.
• Lead and oversee curricular instructional goal-setting and long-term planning.
• Directly manage and coach teachers to deliver quality instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers to internalize lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Coach teachers to develop clear and consistent instructional classroom expectations, routines, and methods through the observation feedback cycle.
• Observe and model components within the curriculum.
• Plan and lead weekly planning and individual coaching meetings with teachers.
• Monitor completion rates of essential formative assessments.
• Prep assessment materials for teachers.
• Analyze data to inform instructional practices and provide targeted support to students.
• Monitor student progress toward benchmark goals.
• Create and facilitate professional development based on observed trends and best practices.
• Attend and support school-wide events.
• Support teachers in providing family resources and homework aligned with classroom instruction.
• Collaborate with the campus instructional leadership team to discuss trends and alignment across grade levels.
• Support in ordering and disseminating materials.

Coaching Assignment

This position will support up to 10 teachers across a small number of departments. The specific coaching assignment will be determined based on the strengths and experience of the successful candidate and the instructional needs of the campus. Potential departments include but are not limited to Spanish, Computer Science, Science, Art, and Humanities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Two years minimum experience with low-income, diverse adolescent populations.
• Track record of academic success
• Strong ability to build relationships with teachers, scholars, and families

Additional Considerations:

• Four or more years experience with low-income, diverse adolescent populations.
• Experience coaching or knowledge of T-TESS and the Get Better Faster Framework
• Experience leading a team and coaching others in academic and behavioral best practices
• Experience in leading and creating professional development
• Spanish speakers preferred
