Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Stores is hiring a Store Processor in IL. This part-time role supports donation processing, pricing, and merchandising to prepare items for sale in our thrift stores. You will work 10:00am-3:00pm with up to 28 hours per week and a focus on reliable teamwork.

You’ll need a high school diploma or be pursuing one, good English communication, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to work weekends and evenings. Background check is required.

• Strong English communication for team interactions.
• Basic math and computer skills; learn new systems.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.
• Pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise according to guidelines.
• Track production numbers in assigned locations.
• Move merchandise to sales floor or to shipping areas.
• Assist donors with donations and complete receipts.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
