Job summary

Elk Hill Farm, Inc. in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking a part-time Therapeutic Mentor to provide positive role modeling, coaching, and supervision for youth in care.

You will work with families and placing agencies to develop skills, supervise recreational activities, maintain session notes, and participate in meetings as requested. CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Maintain valid driver's license and good driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or maintained.

Responsibilities

• Work with youth to develop interpersonal and communication skills.
• Provide and supervise recreational and social activities based on goals.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to youth’s autonomy, confidentiality, and ethics.
• Attend meetings and maintain required session notes.
• Maintain driving responsibilities and supervision as needed.
