Job summary

Pearson VUE is hiring a part-time Test Administrator in San Mateo, CA (1825 South Grant Street). You will check in candidates, verify IDs, and ensure a secure exam environment while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires flexibility across shifts and facilities routines.

The position is strictly part-time (4 to 12 hours/week) with potential for more hours. The hourly rate is $20.00, plus accruals for sick time, and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Experience proctoring or invigilating exams highly preferred.
• Must be flexible in work hours and days.
• Beginner to intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Must be able to sit for long periods and escort candidates to and from testing room.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and lift up to 20 lbs with accommodation.
• Quiet testing environment; hear voices and see details from a distance.

Responsibilities

• Provide secure exam delivery and superior customer service in a comfortable environment.
• Check in candidates, verify IDs, explain the exam process.
• Proctor/invigilate during testing.
• Troubleshoot with internal teams to fix technical issues.
• Complete light housekeeping duties after examinations.
