Job summary

The City of Fayetteville is seeking Recreation Assistants to help with tennis clinics and lessons, including setup and breakdown of equipment and instruction to students learning fundamentals, rules, and play.

The ideal candidate should have strong tennis knowledge and coaching experience with children and adults; high school playing experience or tournament play is preferred. This is a part-time, seasonal position requiring applicants to be 18 or older and pass a SBI background check.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tennis rules and fundamentals.
• Background in tennis coaching and instruction for children and adults.
• HS playing experience or tournament play preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise recreation programs at an assigned center.
• Enforce safety rules and procedures.
• Prepare, setup and disassemble materials for activities.
• Receive payments and issue receipts.
• Answer questions about programs and activities.
