Job summary

The City of Arlington is seeking a part-time Tennis Professional to deliver instruction at the Arlington Tennis Center. You will provide private lessons and group clinics, assist in planning programs, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all participants.

Candidates should have competitive tennis experience or coaching background, strong communication, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in playing competitive tennis and/or coaching/teaching is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours as required.
• Knowledge of tennis techniques, rules, and instructional methods.
• Skill in teaching and adapting lessons for different ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide tennis instruction through private lessons and group clinics for players of varying skill levels.
• Assist the Head Tennis Professional in planning, organizing, and directing instructional programs.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding schedules and program details.
• Lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Assist with special events, tournaments, and promotional activities.
