Job summary

USTA Pacific Northwest in Longview, WA is seeking a part-time Assistant Tennis Pro at Mint Valley Tennis Center to deliver engaging lessons to members and guests.

This role reports to the Associate Director of Tennis – Facilities/Head Tennis Pro, supports program promotions, maintains facility standards, and uses the pro shop resources; compensation ranges 18–35 USD per hour with commission based on participation and experience.

Qualifications

• RSPA or PTR certification preferred.
• Proven experience leading and teaching tennis.
• Experience coaching juniors and adults of varying abilities.
• Ability to build relationships with members, guests and staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide and lead tennis instruction to members, non-members and guests.
• Ensure courteous, prompt, professional service for all tennis needs.
• Attend staff trainings and meetings.
• Maintain records of lessons and clinics.
• Promote programs, tournaments and events.
• Work to retain and grow facility memberships.
• Keep facility areas neat and clean at all times.
• Assist with tournaments as needed.
• Enforce facility rules and equipment use.
• Respond promptly to the Associate Director of Tennis - Facilities/ Head Tennis Pro.
