Job summary

Planters Bank & Trust Co. is seeking a part-time Teller at the Leland, MS branch to provide prompt, accurate customer service at the teller window. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, and other payments while maintaining cash drawer security and confidentiality.

You will also cross-sell bank products, assist customers, and refer complex cases to appropriate staff, with adherence to all policies. Prior cash handling experience is helpful, and the role may involve supporting ATM operations as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic Accounting knowledge is a plus.
• Bank experience is not required but strongly preferred.
• 6 months of cash handling and balancing money transactions within the prior four years.
• Strong communication skills with customers and employees.
• Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Operate teller window providing prompt, accurate customer service and transactions.
• Balance cash daily and verify cash against records.
• Accept deposits, withdrawals, checks, and loan payments; issue receipts.
• Cross-sell bank products and refer customers to staff as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow policies and procedures.
• Assist in opening/closing duties and support ATM/ vault operations as needed.
