Job summary

NET Credit Union is seeking a part-time Member Services Associate to support members with information on products and services while handling transactions with accuracy and a professional demeanor.

The role emphasizes cash handling, balance of cash drawer, and processing withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments. Saturday shifts are required, and you will work in a team-oriented environment, assisting members at the branch with opening and closing accounts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have experience handling member transactions with accuracy.
• Ability to balance cash drawer regularly and follow cash handling guidelines.
• Proven customer service skills and ability to discuss products with members.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash transactions, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and balance the drawer.
• Assist members with opening and closing accounts and verifying information.
• Promote products and services to members when appropriate.
• Navigate branch software to respond to member inquiries and document interactions.
• Work as part of a team and contribute to a positive branch atmosphere.

Experience: Two to four years of similar or related experience

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

This is a part-time position and requires every Saturday

Requirements

• Able to handle cash in a fast paced setting; balance cash drawer on a regular basis
• Follow all established guidelines set forth to ensure proper handling of member transactions and account information including check endorsements, check cashing guidelines and proper check holds
• Able to process withdrawals, loan payments and deposits on member's accounts accurately and efficiently
• Work in a team oriented setting and contribute as necessary
• Be willing and able to learn to operate branch equipment such as the ATM, coin machine and cash recycler
• Assist members with opening and closing accounts, obtain accurate information from the member along with supported documentation
• Must have good interpersonal skills to be able to discuss delicate matters with members at account opening or closing. Interview members to be able to discuss and promote the appropriate products and services offered at the credit union
• Must have thorough working knowledge of all credit union products and services and how they can benefit our members
• Navigate computer software and investigate member inquiries
• Other duties as assigned
